Tyson Dawson

Tyson Dawson is a PhD student in the Genomics and Bioinformatics program of the Institute for Biomedical Sciences. Tyson is interested in the role of viruses in human transcriptional response. Tyson studies both exogenous viruses like SARS-CoV-2 and endogenous retroviruses, remnants of ancient viral infections that infected human ancestors millions of years ago and which may drive human diseases like lupus and Alzheimer's disease.
