Dr. Afrand Kamali Sarvestani has an interest in biochemicals and their corresponding biological pathways. He graduated with his PhD from Michigan State University. He has several years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Allen is a PhD student in Biostatistics at George Washington University and a Data Scientist at The MITRE Corporation. His current research focuses on applying machine learning methods to liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry data. He holds an MS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a Master of Biostatistics from Duke University
Tyson is a PhD student in the Institute for Biomedical Sciences: Genomics and Bioinformatics Program. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2019 with a degree in bioinformatics, minoring in computer science. His projects involve integrating the analysis of omics data with machine learning tools.

Edward Nusinovich
Edward is a Master's student in the Bioinformatics concentration of the Health and Biomedical Data Science program at GW. Prior to joining GW, he worked as a Quantitative Trader at Janus Henderson's quantitative subsidiary, Intech, and is now working as a Data Science Lead at STEM Healthcare, a biopharma consulting firm. He is interested in applying machine learning to improve health outcomes.

Deja is pursuing a MS in Health and Biomedical Data Science with a concentration in bioinformatics. Deja is currently working as a Data Analytics Fellow at ACHP to continuously enhance analytic offerings offering by identifying and implementing new data sources and analytic approaches via Tableau.
Chiraag is an MS student in the Health and Biomedical Data Science Program. He's currently working on increasing the accuracy of molecule quantification within metabolomics data. He also works on statistical tools for the integration of metabolite profiles and evaluation of single-cell RNA-Seq data. Prior to GW, he was an IRTA post-bac research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He graduated from Carleton College in 2020 with a BA in Statistics.

Soumya is a master's in Data Analytics student at GWU. She conducted research her undergraduate in collaboration work with Queensland University, Australia. In addition, she got selected under the global academic internship program and interned with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) faculties. Her interests lie in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Brennan has a nursing background where she specialized in hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant, her PhD explored dyadic interdependent health among cancer survivors and their partners. She is an MPH candidate at GW's Milken Institute School of Public Health and a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute. She is learning about metabolomics data analysis through her role in the Rah lab.

Prior to returning to school at The George Washington University, she spent a decade as a practicing statistical consultant in financial services.
